NDDB’s CMD – the first alumnus from IRMA to take over as IRMA’s chairman

Vadodara: Dr Meenesh Shah, chairman and managing director of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has been appointed as chairman of the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). Shah has replaced Dilip Rath, former chairman of NDDB, who was serving as chairman of IRMA since July 2017.

Shah, who is also a member of IRMA’s society and board of governors, has been unanimously selected by the board as its chairman. Interestingly, Shah is the first alumnus from IRMA to take over as chairman IRMA.

“I feel proud to be given this responsibility and thank the board of directors and the society members for bestowing faith in me,” Shah told TOI. He said that it is a privilege to handle the responsibilities of chairman of IRMA which was set up in 1979 under the leadership of Dr Verghese Kurien.

“Over the past four decades, IRMA has continued to play a pioneering role in rural management space giving the country the finest rural management professionals who are contributing to the rural prosperity and nation building. I am looking forward for bringing about positive changes while working with all the stakeholders,” Dr Shah said.
