After graduating from National Dairy Research Institute Karnal (Haryana) in Dairy Science, Dr. Tej Krishan Walli pursued his post graduate programme including the doctoral research at the same institute. He specialized in Nutrition of Dairy Animals and joined the Faculty of Dairy Cattle Nutrition Division, where he also acted as Head of the Division before his retirement from the same institute in 2006. During his research career, Dr. Walli was offered research fellowship by International Atomic Energy Agency, for pursuing post doctoral research at NIRD, Reading UK. Under Indo-Dutch Fellowship he carried out research at RRI, Aberdeen, Scotland and at IAU, Wagningen, The Netherlands. Apart from that, he was invited by ILRI (under FAO) to participate in a consultative meeting at ILRI, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and participated in several e-Conference organized by FAO recently. He further got opportunity to make presentations at Lahore, Pakistan; at Ho, Chi, Min City, Vietnam and at the University of Arizona, USA.

Dr. Walli served as Editor, Indian journal of Dairy Science, New Delhi, for many years. As President, Animal Nutrition Society of India, he organized an International Animal Nutrition Conference at NDRI, Karnal in 2007. After retirement he acted for a few years as Chief Technical Advisor, Poshak Agrivet Pvt. Ltd. For his research contributions, especially on the relevance of Bypass protein feeding to dairy animals in India, he has been honored with Dr. D. Sunderesan Award, Indian Dairy Association’s Fellowship Award and Life Time Achievement Award by ISBP. In 2012, Food and Agricultural Organization of United Nations, Rome, Italy published  a Technical Bulletin authored by him on one of feeding technologies viz. Densified Complete Feed for Ruminants, with which he has been closely associated post retirement.

dineshDr. Dinesh Tukaram Bhosale

Dr. Dinesh Tukaram Bhosale, PhD and M.V.sc from IVRI is one of the most easily recognized names in animal feed and nutrition industry, he owns a career that is filled with prodigious sectoral and organizational experiences spanning over two decades. Dr. Bhosle, started his career, post completion of his B.V.Sc & AH, with Sheep &Wool Dept., Govt. of Rajasthan. Later he joined Venkateshwara Hatcheries Ltd as Poultry Nutritionist at Poultry Diagnostic & Research Center Pune. In 1997 he joined American Soybean Association as Technical Director-Poultry, Aquaculture & Livestock for Asia Subcontinent. This endeavor gave him expertise and specialization on Indian Sub-continent. He later moved to Alltech Biotechnology P. Ltd. as Regional Technical Manager and at present is leading AB Vista as Regional Sales Director.

Apart from great scholastics and professional, he has been part of several federations and associations in his continuous striving for organized, stabilized, standardized and globally competitive Indian feed and nutrition industry. He has served as chairman of CLFMA of India from September 2012 to 2014. He has also been nominated as member of Management Committee of National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bangalore. Apart from this, he is also member of BIS animal feeds committee, member of editorial board of Journal of Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology, member of managing committees of Animal Nutrition Society of India (ANSI) and Animal Nutrition Association (ANA). He has also served as vice president (West India) of Poultry Federation of India, since July 2006. Served as Treasurer (2004-2006) and General Secretary (2000-2004).

amitMr. Amit Sachdev

Mr. Amit Sachdev is a graduate in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, from G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, now in Uttaranchal. Graduating from the class of 1987, he traveled to Europe for training in dairy & poultry farming and worked in farms in Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium & Germany.

Coming back in 1990, he has been an independent consultant covering various aspects of livestock production, processing and marketing.Since 1996, he represents U S Grains Council, in India. The Council is a farmer’s body from US, promoting three crops mainly Corn, Sorghum and Barley. Objective is to create a market for US grains in India.

For the council, he covers poultry, dairy, poultry processing, biotechnology and international trade and advises companies/individuals on the import scenario from US on Corn, Corn co-products, Barley and Sorghum.

He has completed a course on HACCP in poultry and meat production from Mississippi State University and Texas a & M in USA.In 2007/08 he was part of the tour with US Trade Development Agency (USTDA) to provide information on Food safety issues in India to the retailers and producers as a guest speaker.He represents World Wide Sires, California based World’s largest bovine genetics marketing company, specializing in supply of bovine germplasm to the dairy sector.Also as an international agriculture trade analyst and India specialist, he is on the panel of various International agencies/companies.

Dr. P.E Vijay Anand heads the Indian Animal Feed, Aquaculture and Soy Meal Program as the Director for the U.S. Soybean Export Council.

U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) with a network of international offices carries out activities that will create and sustain demand for U.S. soybeans and soybean products for animal husbandry, human nutrition and in other related areas of application. The U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) is a dynamic partnership of key stakeholders representing soybean producers, commodity shippers, identity preserved value-added merchandisers, allied agribusinesses and agricultural organizations.

Before assuming the position of the Director, Dr. Vijay was in-charge of the National Aquaculture Program of USSEC since 2003 and has established modern feed based technologies for fish farming in India. He was associated with well-known feed mills and veterinary companies holding important positions as ‘Head of Business’ and ‘Head of Profit Centre’ for their operations. He handled work related to feed raw materials, feed formulations, QC measures, sales and marketing of aquaculture feed, poultry and dairy products, product positioning/pricing, product distribution and trade, human resources management, market research, data handling and analysis, training and extension activities. With a strong flair for creativity, evolving new businesses and accepting marketing challenges, Dr. Vijay has been associated with the animal feed industry since 1993 and is known for his innovation, visionary abilities and working under diverse challenging situations and cultures, both nationally and internationally.

He completed is under-graduation and post-graduation at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Hebbal, Bangalore and his doctoral research degree (Ph.D) from the Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has travelled widely, speaks six languages and has inherent traits of being friendly and makes others feel comfortable.

Dr. Suhas Amrutkar is a graduate (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from Nagpur Veterinary College, Maharashtra. He has done his Post graduation M.V.Sc. in Animal Nutrition and Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana.

He is having vast experience of more than 9 years in the field of Poultry and Dairy. He has severed in feed company and also worked as technical editor to a dairy magazine. After completing his Ph.D., he joined as Assistant Professor, Animal Nutrition Divisionat Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar, Punjab and at present he is working as a Livestock Development Officer (Class 1) in Government of Maharashtra.

meetaDr. Meeta Punjabi Mehta

Dr. Meeta has a Ph.D in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University. She heads Creative Agri Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a New Delhi based research and consulting firm in agriculture and livestock sector. She has been associated with several research studies focusing on livestock sector development with leading international agencies including UNFAO, World Bank, IFAD, ADB, ILRI, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundationamong others.

She has extensive experience across sectors including dairy, commercial and backyard poultry and sheep/goat/pork. Her work encompassed a range of issues: policy environment, access to health services, management/feed-fodder issues, meat demand and supply, processing, value chains and livelihood perspective.

Her work in this sector has helped her to develop a strong network with key stakeholders including hatcheries, dairy firms, pharmaceutical companies, feed companies, government departments and agencies, service providers, academic and research institutes, NGOs, farmers and farmer associations along with international agencies involved in this sector.

Dr. Meeta has travelled extensively to several parts of the country, and is very familiar with animal rearing at the farmer level and the emerging innovations and commercial initiatives. She also has extensive international work experience, which helps bring learning from international best practices to her work in India.

Dr. Satyendra Nath Mohanty, retired as Head-Fish Nutrition and Physiology Division from Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (ICAR), Bhubaneswar. He has contributed in various International and national associations like INRA (France),World Bank, IDRC (Canada), UNDP, FAO, European Union, DBT, NARP, Vswa-Bharati University etc.

He has given 100 publications to the industry. He owns a career that is filled with remarkable achievements which is well appreciated by the country. He was twice honored with ICAR team cash awards, felicitations from Zoological and several fellowship awards from various universities and organizations.

gnanaDr. R Gnana Sekar

Dr GnanaSekar, known as GS in the animal feed and health industry is a qualified post graduate in Animal Nutrition (Dairy cattle nutrition) from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal with veterinary science as basic qualification from Nagpur veterinary college, Nagpur, Maharashtra. He acquired 15 years of strong experience of working in various positions with companies like DeLaval, Kemin, Elanco and ABS India in key dairy states in India with the dairy farmers holding one animal and with the large farms with more than 2000 animals. He conducted more than 100 technical seminars for dairy farmers, veterinary practitioners, feed manufacturers throughout India focusing feeding of dairy animals for efficient production and reproduction, stress management in dairy animals, young stock rearing, transition cow management etc. He provided more than 1000 feed formulations to the dairy farms to reduce the feeding cost and to improve the production. He started GS Dairy Farm Consulting recently to provide support to the progressive dairy farms to make dairy farming more profitable. He is an active life member of Animal Nutrition Association of India, Animal Nutrition Society of India.

swamyDr. Swamy Haladi

Dr. Swamy Haladi was born into an agricultural family in the southern part of India. He obtained Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science and Master Degree in Poultry Science from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India. Later he attended the University of Guelph in Canada where he earned his PhD on Fusarium mycotoxins in poultry and pigs. Dr. Haladi holds honorary “Special Graduate Faculty” position at University of Guelph. He has published many peer-reviewed papers, book chapters and industry magazine articles. Dr. Haladi currently is an active Executive Member of IVPI, a Bangalore-based poultry non-profit organization.

Dr. Haladi is considered as one of the top mycotoxin experts in the world. While working as “Global Technical Manager” for Alltech’s Mycotoxin Management Program, he has traveled to more than 30 countries assisting the farming community in managing their raw material selection, feed quality and feed mill hygiene. Currently he works as “Regional Director – South Asia” for Devenish Nutrition Limited, an UK-based organization. The role involves developing strong base for Devenish in South Asia market through providing unmatched technical support, customized premixes and high-technology products.

Suraj-AmrutkarDr. Suraj Amrutkar

Dr. Suraj Amrutkar is a graduate (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur, Maharashtra; Post graduate (M.V.Sc.) in Poultry Science from Trissur Veterinary College, Kerala; and Ph. D. in Poultry Science from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izzatnagar, Uttar Pradesh. After completing his Master degree, he joined N.G.O. where he has served Maharashtra farmers. After completing his Ph.D. he joined as Assistant Professor, L.P.M. Division at Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar, Punjab. Now, he is working as Assistant Professor, Poultry specialist in SKUAST-J, Jammu. He has a vast knowledge about Poultry nutrition and health.
